Whitiora School Kura has a proud history that emanates from its whenua, wai, whakapapa and its long legacy of service to the people of Kirikiriroa. Established in 1919, Whitiora continues to hold a special place in the community as a Kura that values whānau connections, cultural identity, and academic success for all learners. Our Kura is enriched by the vibrant cultures of our tamariki, including a strong commitment to Maaori learners and the growing success of our rumaki reo pathway.
Our board seeks an inspirational and relational leader who can honour our past, celebrate our present, and lead us confidently into the future. Our next Principal | Tumuaki will nurture our strong community spirit, promote high expectations for achievement, and foster inclusive practices that ensure every learner thrives.

Fosters collaborative, high-trust leadership across the Kura.
Ensures equity, inclusion, and success for all, honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi in word and action and with a deep commitment to Maaori success for Maaori by Maaori
Is an experienced and capable strategic thinker who leads effective change and continuous improvement.
Brings sound operational and financial management experience.
